Flax - line fiber
We have a limited supply of long line flax fiber available, put up in 2 ounce stricks. This flax was grown by me and Robbi Bannen in 2017 as part of a USDA SARE Research grant. The flax was mechanically processed at Taproot Fibrelab in Nova Scotia, and hand hackled at Mountain Heart Farm into 2 ounce stricks ready for spinning.
Dew retted, these are three different Belgian varieties (comingled in these stricks); Melina, Calista, and Vesta. Staple length is about 24-30.” $24 for a two-ounce strick.
